Property news: Halifax to help FTB with stamp duty costs

One of the UK’s leading home lenders had today (Wednesday 02 May) promised to pay 50% of stamp duty costs for all first time buyers and home movers.

It says the plan is a sign of further commitment to helping first time buyers and home owners and it will apply to those buying properties up to the value of £250,000. Read more on this story
